The Answers You Need
Am I allowed to watch my dancer's class?
We ask that parents do not watch their dancer's class as they can become easily distracted by you (especially our younger ones) and we want them to concentrate on their teacher and what she is trying to teach them. We will offer a watching week during the season to allow dancers to showcase what they have been working on. All dancers will also participate in both the Christmas Show and Year End recital (with the exception of our 8 week sessions).
What is my child required to wear to class?
Each discipline is different but he/she will be required to wear proper dance wear to class each week. What they wear will depend what type of dance they are taking - please refer to your handbook.
If you are wondering why we do this, it is not only that it is part of a dancer's training to learn how to dress properly for dance but also it is so that the teacher can see your child's posture etc. and make the necessary adjustments so that your child does not get injured.
How do I pay fees?
We have two forms of payment you can either fill in a form to have the funds come directly out of your bank each month on the 1st of the month or you can have your monthly fees paid by Visa or Mastercard. Fill in the form at beginning of the season and your fees will be automatically be paid by your credit card each month (no worrying about cheques!)
We hate to see anyone leave, but if dance just isn't your thing we require one month's written notice. We cannot accept withdrawals over the phone. No withdrawals will be accepted after May 1st. This policy will be strictly adhered to and we thank you in advanced for your cooperation and understanding.
Please note you are required to pay the first and last month's fees at registration.
How does your competitive program work?
We believe every dancer deserves the opportunity to perform on the stage. All dancers in our regular program will be given the opportunity to attend dance festivals. Solos, Duets and Special routines will be determined through auditions and the teachers' discretion.
We carefully select the festivals our dancers attend to ensure they have a positive and memorable experience. The intent is that the selected festivals will mirror our philosophy.
